Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: What facility do you use for cosmetic surgical procedures?

A: Dr. Zegzula prefers to operate at Center for Specialty Surgery because the environment is welcoming and the facility is immaculate. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. To find out more about Center of Specialty Surgery or for directions to their facility log onto http://www.css-oregon.com

Q: What procedures are covered by health insurance?

A: We will bill your insurance company for all reconstructive procedures. It is up to you to check that we are a preferred provider with your insurance, prior to your visit. They will also supply you with a full list of services they cover. We require that you prepay all cosmetic procedures. Our contracts with insurance companies do not allow us to bill them for cosmetic procedures.

Q: Does your office offer financing for cosmetic procedures?

A: No. We have interviewed many financing companies and their rates for patients have always been higher than the standard credit card rates.

Q: How long will I be out of work for cosmetic surgery?

A: The typical cosmetic surgery case such as a breast augmentation or a breast lift will require you to rest for 3-5 days. A more complex case such as abdominoplasty surgery requires 7-10 days of rest.

Q: My breast are an "A" cup, can you make me a full "C" cup?

A: A "C" cup on a small frame woman looks much different than a "C" cup on a large frame woman. What we recommend is for you to bring in pictures of women with figures you would like to mirror. That way we are certain to help you create the breasts that you are seeking and the ones that are proportionate to your body frame.

Q: I lost a significant amount of weight with bariatric surgery, but my body is not what I envisioned. What procedures will contour and reshape my body?

A: Massive weight loss often leaves the body with excess skin. A combination of procedures is needed to remove and reshape the excess skin. Abdominoplasty, breast lift, breast reduction, brachioplasty, lower body lift, and thigh lift are all viable options. Body contouring surgery is highly individualized. We combine and/or stage your appropriate procedures to help achieve your desired body shape.
